The UPO Presents: Grad Check Workshops

Are you graduating in 2023? Have you completed a grad check or your degree application?

The Tippie Undergraduate Program Office will be hosting two graduation check workshops this February for all students graduating in 2023! Stop by and have your degree audit reviewed by an academic advisor, learn about the transition to alumni status, and enjoy some FREE food. We encourage you to bring a device to access MyUI or a printed copy of your most recent degree audit.

Quick graduation related details will be shared every half hour with drop-in style advising occurring throughout the entire workshop. Come and go anytime throughout the session – no appointment needed.

  • Thursday, February 9th 11:30am – 1:30pm in S401 PBB
  • Wednesday, February 15th 12 – 2pm in S401 PBB

We look forward to confirming your next steps with you!

Don’t wait to see your advisor! Schedule an appointment early!

The beginning of the semester is a great time to meet with your academic advisor!  Want to discuss information about a specific business major, adding a certificate, your upcoming summer internship, or desire to study abroad?  The early weeks of the semester are a great time to schedule an appointment!  Discussing your plan early also helps avoid the busy advising time around registration.

You can schedule an appointment with your advisor on MyUI under My Appointments.

We can’t wait to see you!

The Math Lab and Statistics Lab are also great resources for all MATH and STAT courses. And of course do not forget about our Tippie resources like the Frank Business Communication Center and Accounting TA Help Labs!

BCaP Report Deck Workshop

The first submission of the BCaP Report Deck is due this week! Frank Center tutors will be running two workshops this week to help you do your best. The workshops will take place on Tuesday, March 22 and Wednesday, March 23, both in W401 PBB at 2 PM. There will be lots of time for individual questions. The same material will be covered on both days. See you there!

Tutors Wanted!

The Frank Center is still recruiting tutors for 2022-2023! Tutors get course and RISE credit and a scholarship that begins in their second semester of tutoring. The experience looks great on a resume, too, and many of our graduating tutors note that Center experience helped differentiate them from other candidates in internship and job interviews. Plus, it’s fun! Contact meredith-ringel-ensley@uiowa.edu by February 28.

Tutors Wanted – Deadline Extended!

Do you enjoy helping other students? Did you think the BCaP report deck was kind of…fun? Apply to be a Frank Center consultant! Consultants tutor other Tippie students in writing, presentation, and design assignments. They get course and RISE credit, as well as a scholarship after the first semester. For more information and to apply, contact meredith-ringel-ensley@uiowa.edu. Deadline extended until March 4!

*Must have completed BCaP by the end of Summer 2022
