The mentors serve as a professional resource and helps you build your professional network in your respective industry of interest. Applications are being accepted to fill open positions on the 2022-23 Tippie Undergraduate Judicial Board. Members serve one-year terms that may be renewed for the following academic year, providing eligibility guidelines continue to be met.

The Tippie Young Alumni Board (YAB) Summer Mentoring Program targets Tippie students and recent graduates (December 2021 and May 2022) who are interested in being connected with a Tippie alum during a mentoring program this summer. The mentor serves as a professional resource for the student, and helps the student build their professional network in their respective industry of interest.

Looking for a unique leadership experience? If you are interested in developing your critical thinking and communication skills, this would be a great opportunity for you. The Judicial Board is responsible for investigating student appeals of academic misconduct and for general outreach and education about the Honor Code.

Transfer Student Lunch on Thursday- Please RSVP

New and returning Tippie transfer students are invited to a welcome lunch THIS Thursday, September 2 in S401 PBB from 11:30 am-12:20 pm. In addition to a free lunch, Associate Dean Charles Keene will give a welcome, you will learn from a business career advisors about career resources and internships, and advisors will share some important advising information.

Class of 2024 Welcome Event

There will be a Class of 2024 Welcome Event on this Friday, August 27 in Hubbard Park from 6:30-11:00 pm! There will be free food trucks, music provided by DJ NYJ (our amazing Dance Marathon DJ), yard games, photo opportunities, a movie co-hosted by Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and Campus Activities Board (CAB), snacks, and so much more.

Attention Graduates- Hawkeye Farewell on the Pentacrest is this week!

This week is an opportunity for graduates to celebrate their final days as students at the University of Iowa. Distribution of commencement materials will occur for Spring 2021 degree applicants. Professional photo opportunities and the chance to snap a photo with Graduation Herky will be additional activities to enjoy. Activities will occur on the Pentacrest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.

The mentor serves as a professional resource and helps you to build your professional network in your industry and/or city.  Mentoring resources and guidelines will be provided to both the mentor and mentee. Matches to students are primarily based on industry interest and where applicable, in the same city. Even if you don’t have an internship this summer, you are welcome to apply.

Below is a bit more information about the program:

Who are the mentors? Tippie alums working in the mentee’s target industry and, where applicable, in the same city of their internship / volunteer opportunity.

How does it help? Provides access to the Hawkeye community outside Iowa City as well as insight into careers and professional opportunities.

How does it work? The alum mentor will contact the mentee at the beginning of summer and will meet with them at least three times virtually throughout the six-week program

How big of a time commitment is it? We will provide guidelines and resources in the program. Mentors and mentees will be asked to participate in a kick-off call, provide feedback via a mid-summer survey, and attend the program wrap-up call at the beginning of August. We will request that each alum connects with their mentee at least three times during the mentoring program.

How do I sign up? Apply here. The application period is open until April 9. You will receive your mentoring match via email by April 30.
