Young Alumni Board (YAB) Summer Mentoring Program- apply by tomorrow, May 13

The Summer Mentor Program targets Tippie students and graduating seniors (December 2019 and later) who have an internship or volunteer opportunity during the summer. The program matches students with an alum in their target industry, and, where applicable, in the same city. The mentor serves as a professional resource for the student and helps the student build their professional network in that industry and city. The program is based primarily on virtual meetings. The application is due May 13 and can be found here.

Below is a bit more information about the program:

Who are the mentors? Tippie alums working in the mentee’s target industry and, where applicable, in the same city of their internship / volunteer opportunity.

How does it help? Provides access to the Hawkeye community outside Iowa City as well as insight into careers and professional opportunities.

How does it work? The mentor will contact the mentee at the beginning of summer and will meet with them several times virtually throughout the summer.

How big of a time commitment is it? We provide guidelines and resources in the program kick-off call, touch base in the mid-summer survey, and will wrap up the program at the beginning of August. You will meet with your mentor ~3 times. This is a low to moderate time commitment.

How do I sign up? The application period is open until May 13. You will receive your match by May 22.
