After an 8 year career in public accounting, I took a position as a Practice Administrator with a mid-sized anesthesia practice. In my 24 years managing their practice I gained a solid understanding of the business side of medicine, lobbying and managing a growing, successful business. I am now a national consultant and speaker in the healthcare space.
I take great joy in coaching women in their career aspirations and personal growth and am currently the President of the Iowa Women’s Leadership Network. I would love the opportunity to connect and assist – <3 – making the world better, one person at a time.

I majored in Sociology with the plan of working in a social welfare setting. I did that for many years and got burned out. I turned to sales after that. I eventually started working my way up in the sales career tract, car sales, then logistics sales = Sales Executive and Supply Chain Management Consultant (CH Robinson). At the start of COVID my sales career tract came to an end and I was lucky enough to join the nonprofit world. I am now an Executive Director and manage every part of the nonprofit business from administrative, HR and accounting, to fundraising and marketing. Being in a nonprofit is all about sales! I also run a web design business in my spare time, which really doesn’t exist anymore. I have done this since 2009.

I founded my own company when I was 19, from my living room, during my second year of school. I figured out how to do all of the filing myself to create the business, and within three months, had scaled it internationally. We’ve been open for 3 years as of October 2021 and have accomplished so much.
Before all of that, I held my first internship out of high school within the realm of sexual violence prevention education, my first position within the field as a staff writer with the company Project Consent, my second internship the first summer after college working directly in sexual violence advocacy, and my first in-person position by my second year of college at RVAP, as the Campus Sexual Violence Prevention Educator, later moving into the role of Raise the Bar Coordinator. My last two years of school at Iowa were focused on working on my business.
We opened up internships to students globally after our first year and have open internships in over ten departments: Editorial, Marketing, Social Media, Podcast Production, Finance, and more.
I’ve had the chance to work with people such as Sophia Amoruso and Paris Hilton and companies such as Google and Snapchat. We are currently working on a super-secret project between Hulu, Netflix, and Disney+.
I majored in Social Justice here at Iowa but I have honors certificates in Coding from Harvard and Marketing from the University of Illinois.
I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and resources with others and have mentored quite a few people in the past few years. If you’d like to know more about me or anything that I’m involved in, I’d love to hear from you!

I majored in Management and Marketing as well as earned a certificate in event management. I moved to Chicago after graduation and first worked in operation for Coyote Logistics for about a year before switching industries and I now work for a financial tech startup, Tegus, which is an expert network and content platform for investors and hedge fund managers doing qualitative research before making large investment decisions. I work as an analyst, so my job is to source high level executives from the companies or industries that my clients are researching and set up paid consulting calls for the client to be able to ask questions to further their understanding in their research! It’s not at all what I studied, but it’s super interesting and a fast growing start up with tons of room to grow and excel, so I love it! Happy to speak to anyone interested in Logistics or Financial tech companies as well as people who aren’t sure what jobs to be looking for with their majors after graduation. Also, I just went through the transition from college to the working world about a year and a half ago, so I can help with job hunting, negotiating, interviewing, work life balance and setting boundaries, the difference between working for a large corporation and a startup, etc!

I majored in Marketing with the Entrepreneurial Certificate and graduated in 2011. Since graduating, I’ve worked at a couple of smaller agencies and also freelanced as a digital marketer for about a year. I’m currently in Cedar Rapids working at de Novo Marketing, a smaller full service agency. I love working at a smaller agency (we have about 18 employees) because it allows me to be involved in many different aspects of the company and gives us all the ability to collaborate as a team.
