Bio: Throughout a span of 7 academic semesters, I have been actively engaged in the Women in Business (WIB) organization. My roles prior to becoming President have included serving as the Vice President of External Relations and fulfilling responsibilities as a Lean-In Circle Leader. The prospect of assuming leadership responsibilities for an exceptional group of women and fostering the growth of Women in Business at the University of Iowa is one that I approach with enthusiasm.

In the coming year, I anticipate leveraging WIB as a platform for numerous professional opportunities. The organization’s capacity to enhance and facilitate such opportunities aligns seamlessly with my aspirations. One aspect that particularly resonates with me is the privilege of connecting with like-minded women who share similar goals and passions within the dynamic WIB community. I eagerly anticipate contributing to and benefiting from the collaborative and inspiring environment that defines Women in Business.

Bio: I have been in WIB for 6 going on 7 semesters now. Before becoming Vice President, I was the VP of Community Service for a year. This semester I am looking forward to March which is Women’s History Month and International Women’s day. It is the perfect opportunity to celebrate WIB and women in our community. My favorite thing about our organization is the sense of excitement and self-confidence I feel while attending events. I feel like I can do anything I set my mind to after being in a room with so many empowering women. Some fun facts about me are that I love acting and am going to be in a 10 minute play this semester. I am also planning an eighteen day trip to Europe with my mom and sister. It will be our first time going to Europe together! 🙂

Bio: This is my 7th semester in WIB. Prior to becoming the VP of Technology, I also served as VP of Public Relations for one semester. This year, I am looking forward to improving WIB’s website to highlight more members. I love WIB for its professional and personal development opportunities.

Bio: This is my 6th semester in WIB and before my current position I served as a Lean-in Circle Leader. As the VP of Fundraising I’m looking forward to expanding our fundraising partner network as well as creating new opportunities for community donations. One of my favorite things about WIB is getting out of my comfort zones to explore new situations and meeting new people! In my free time I love to hike, sail and paddle board with my friends and family. During the week I enjoy working as an Accounting Intern at a local nonprofit in Iowa City!

Bio: This will be my sixth semester in WIB. After serving on the 2023 WBCLC Conference Committee as the External Relations Director, I decided to run for the VP position. This semester I am most excited for the Sponsor Appreciation Event I will be hosting in April. I am excited to give back to our sponsors and thank them for all that have given us. My favorite thing about WIB is all of the connections you make, both personally and professionally. I have been able to meet many friends as well as mentors. A couple fun facts about me is that I enjoy lifting, and I work as a bartender and enjoy creating fun drinks behind the bar!

Bio: Hello everyone! My name is Sidda Patel! I have only been in WIB for one semester, but that was enough for me to fall in love with the organization!
