Bio: I have been in WIB for a total of 6 semesters, this semester being my 7th. I have served as the Vice President of External Relations and a Lean-In Circle Leader. I am excited to lead an amazing group of women and to grow WIB at the University of Iowa. I am also excited for all of the professional opportunities that WIB will enhance throughout the next year. My favorite thing about WIB is getting the opportunity to meet like minded women who all have similar goals and passions. My plans for after graduation are to be determined!

  1. Over the summer I interned at a Powersports company, Polaris, in their snow sales department.
  2. WIB is the first student org that I joined at the university of Iowa.

Bio: I have been in WIB for 5 semesters now. Before becoming Vice President, I served as Vice President of Community Service for 2 semesters. I have loved every minute of being on Executive Board and I look forward to creating my philanthropy events, networking with other members, and being able to support my fellow WIB members. I am hoping to graduate this spring and I’m planning a trip to Europe with my mom and sister for after I graduate!

Bio: This is my 6th semester in WIB. Prior to becoming the VP of Technology, I also served as VP of Public Relations for one semester. This year, I am looking forward to improving WIB’s website to highlight more members and increasing communication efficiency. My favorite part about WIB are the valuable professional opportunities and having a smaller community inside a large university. My plans after graduation are to move to San Francisco, CA!

Bio: Hi! I’m Alexis, this will be my 6th semester in WIB and the first position that I’ve held. I’m most excited for hosting a Gal Pal and Lean-In Circle social at the beginning of the semester! My favorite thing about WIB is the networking events and getting to learn from women who lead in the business world during our general meetings. After graduation I plan on moving to Minneapolis to pursue a career in marketing.

I am excited to take on this new role as VP of Mentoring and help connect our members to business professionals who can help them develop both personally and professionally. My favorite thing about WIB is working alongside such motivated and fun executive board members. After graduation, I hope to continue my education by pursuing my MBA and then eventually land a full time job!

Bio: I have been in WIB for 5 semesters, and have been the VP of Fundraising for 4 of them. I am excitd to be able to partner and collaborate with other diverse student organizations to help bring the community closer. My favorite thing about WIB is the oppourtunities we present to every member, and being able to gelp them grow in their career. Since I am a senior, my plans after graduation are to move to Minneapolis for a bit to really plant my roots and see where life takes me!

Bio: I’ve been a general member of WIB for 4 semesters, and last semester served on the WBCLC planning committee as the External Relations Director. This year I am most excited to start working more closely with the WIB sponsors, as well as plan more events that allow our general members to be more exposed to corporate sponsors and their opportunities. My favorite thing about WIB is the inclusion that is incorporated in the program. I think it is great that WIB is one of the few due free student organizations, opening our opportunities to anyone who would like to be apart of it.

  1. I work as a bartender at a distillery and love having the creative freedom to make new, fun drinks.
  2. I also just love to be outside as much as possible, as summer is my favorite season.

Bio: I joined WIB in the spring of 2023, so this is my second semester in WIB. I have not held any other executive positions with WIB, but I am so excited to be the VP of community service! I am most excited to plan events and get involved with more organizations this semester. Community service is something I am very passionate about and I am excited to be able to share my passion for volunteering with members of WIB. My goal is to plan more volunteering events around the holidays. My favorite thing about being a member of WIB is attending the community service and card-making events. After graduating, I plan to attend dental school and eventually specialize in orthodontics.

Bio: This will be my 5th semester in WIB and my 3rd semester as VP of Marketing! I have not held any other positions while in WIB but as VP of Marketing, I assisted on the BIG 10 WBCLC committee last year. In my role, I am most excited for the continuation of upholding our student organization in an empowering and professional manner. My favorite thing about WIB is the wonderful women. From our members to guest speakers, WIB is filled with genuine, hard-working, and dedicated women who are always supporting one another. It’s truly a special thing to be surrounded by extraordinary women that share similar goals and strive to uplift one another. As a senior, my plans post-graduation are to find a suitable job for myself and hopefully move to an exciting city!
