Bio: This is my fourth semester in WIB and my third semester on the executive board. Previously, I had the privilege of serving as Vice President of Events, which provided me with valuable experience in organizing and facilitating bonding. Now, I’m honored to take on the role of Vice President. One of the most rewarding parts of this role has been working with local businesses to give back to the Iowa Women’s Foundation and supporting their mission. I also had the privilege of attending their annual luncheon which was an inspiring experience. One of my favorite things about WIB is the community of supportive and empowering women who are members. Outside of WIB, I enjoy exploring new restaurants, trying different coffee spots, and seeking out new experiences. I also have a passion for staying active through workouts or other fun activities. After graduation, I plan to move back home and work in Chicago!

Bio: I have been in WIB for 4 semesters. I am thrilled to be the VP of Internal Relations since it is my first roll I will hold in WIB. I am most excited to understand all that goes into this well organized, respectable student organization. I am also ready to build a culture of community within the members of WIB. My favorite part of WIB is the pride every individual holds regarding their education, relationships, and career. Some fun facts about myself are I have been to 13 countries with my family and my grandpa was the captain of the US men’s national soccer team. Go Hawks!

Bio: I have proudly been a member of Women in Business (WIB) for three semesters, and my passion for the organization’s impactful work has only deepened over time. This enthusiasm has inspired me to run for the position of VP of Finance, where I believe I can make a meaningful contribution. I am particularly excited about the pro-trip, which offers an exceptional opportunity to network not only with companies but also with fellow WIB members. One of my favorite aspects of WIB is learning about the diverse stories and aspirations of our members. Beyond WIB, I serve as the Vice President of Membership for Kappa Kappa Gamma. In my free time, I enjoy running and practicing Pilates. As graduation approaches, I am looking forward to relocating to the West Coast to pursue a career in private wealth management.

Bio: I’ve been actively involved with Women in Business (WIB) for three semesters. Last semester, I had the opportunity to serve as a Lean In Circle Leader, and this semester, I’m excited to take on the role of Vice President of Fundraising. I’m eager to bring fresh ideas to our fundraising initiatives and help drive our mission forward. What I love most about WIB is the strong sense of community and the incredible network of supportive women. It’s inspiring to be part of a group that not only promotes professional growth but also fosters meaningful connections. A couple of fun facts about me: I have a passion for writing and dream of publishing a book series one day. Alongside my accounting career, I’m dedicated to turning this dream into reality. As a senior, I’m currently exploring opportunities in accounting while working towards my goal of becoming an author. I’m excited for the future and the chance to combine my professional and creative pursuits.

Bio: I’ve been in WIB for 3 semesters, but this is my first semester on Exec Board! I’m very passionate about community service and i love getting involved around Iowa City. I’m so excited to be able to offer various opportunities throughout the semester for WIB to give back to our community. This organization is important to me because women are still being overshadowed in the business field, WIB gave me the chance to connect with so many wonderful people who advocate for our presence in the workplace.

 I can’t wait to meet all of our new members, I would love to get to know all of you. To start, here are a few fun facts about me:

 1.)I love cotton candy so much, that I have my own machine for when I want it. 

2.) When I was 7 I locked myself in a locker on accident and now I’m terrified of small spaces. 3.) I’m REALLY good at puzzles.

Bio: This is my third semester in WIB. I joined WIB the same semester I transferred to the university last January. Last semester, I was also the VP of events. I’m most excited this semester to continue planning impactful events for members. One thing I love about WIB is the friends I’ve made since joining; I’ve met some of my best friends in this organization. I’ve also learned a lot from the women who have come before me in this organization. Two passions/hobbies of mine are fitness and spending time with my family.

Bio: Hi everyone! My name is Adriana Plascencia. This semester will be my second one in WIB and I am extremely excited to plan events that will focus on reducing our environmental impact and that members will enjoy! My favorite thing about WIB is that it provides many opportunities for members to further their professional development! A couple fun facts about me are that I grew up playing soccer and I love it! I also really enjoy arts and crafts!
