Anticipated hours per week: 10 hours
Description: The Department of Business Analytics is seeking a Social Media Intern to assist with the content development and management of the Business Analytics Twitter, LinkedIn, and newsletters. Specific tasks include:
- Generating and scheduling 3 weekly tweets
- Researching and generating content for the @TippieAnalytics weekly email – 2 industry news pieces and 3 job opportunities
- Attending department related events to take pictures
- Coordinating with the Tippie Tech student organization to keep weekly calendar updated
- Assisting with the creation of a monthly email newsletter to advisory board members and alumni each semester
- Developing a content calendar to track what information is disseminated throughout the semester
We are seeking a student who has the following skill set:
- Ability to stay organized and on task with limited supervision – a self-starter
- Experience and ability to learn best practices of Twitter & LinkedIn
- Experience with photography (non-professional, casual experience is acceptable)
- Examples of strong written communication
- Practice editing pictures in Photoshop is a preferred skill.
