Virtual Career Fair Week is just around the corner!

Upcoming Career Fairs and Networking Events:

MAPLA Law Expo (Main Lounge, IMU): Wednesday, September 29, 11 am – 3 pm

Virtual HB10+ & MwACE Virtual Fair: Tuesday, October 5, 12 pm – 3 pm

Virtual ICR (Iowa City/Cedar Rapids) Collegiate Career Fair: Tuesday, October 5, 11 am – 2 pm

Virtual ALL MAJORS FAIR Career Fair: Wednesday, October 6, 12 – 4 pm

 

What to do NOW:

1. Register for one, two or all of the Fairs in Handshake! Review the three different career fair opportunities:
   • Hire Big 10+ & Midwest ACE + DEI Virtual Fair: Tuesday, October 5, 12 – 3 pm
     Employers will promote their open positions while showcasing their commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through hiring practices, workplace culture, and diversity-focused initiatives and programs.
   • ICR (Iowa City/Cedar Rapids) Collegiate Career Fair: Tuesday, October 5, 11 am – 2 pm
     Interact with employers in the Iowa City/Cedar Rapids area looking to connect with students of all majors who want to work or intern in the Corridor.
   • UI ALL MAJORS Career Fair: Wednesday, October 6, 12 – 4 pm
     Interact with employers all across the nation who are looking to connect with UI students of all majors.
2. After you register, then pre-schedule 1:1 or group sessions with employers you’re interested in or join an open session the day of the event.* Some sessions may fill up – we recommend you pre-schedule!

4. Update your Handshake profile. Some employers set qualifications to define which students can register for their sessions. To ensure you qualify for employer sessions, make sure you have filled out the following fields on your profile: School year, major and GPA, (found on your profile), and your Work authorization status, (which can be found on the Privacy & Settings page).
5. On the day of the event, LOGIN TO HANDSHAKE to participate and arrive early to your scheduled sessions.

Join representatives from Braze to explore what a career with their organization is like. Learn from them as they share insights into their daily operations and work environment, information about a variety of job functions and internship and post-graduation opportunities.
