The Black in Business Series presents an exclusive panel discussion with visionaries, innovators and leaders that are business professionals in their own creative ways. This panel of creative professionals and entrepreneurs aims to bring individuals together who are using their innovative ideas and creative minds to impact the work that they do. Every industry you go into is a business. Our panelists will answer questions about how they’ve navigated being Black in the industries of healthcare, music, and fashion. They will speak on their experiences and share knowledge with the students who are seeking empowerment in their own journeys.

The Black in Business Series is a team of Black business students and staff who are committed to providing a safe and inclusive space within the Tippie College of Business for Black students to thrive and grow professionally. In partnership with the Center for Diversity & Enrichment, the Black in Business Series works to provide programming that is specific but not limited to the Black student body. Black in Business advocates for representation inside and outside of the classroom. This Series is open to all students who wish to be connected with Black business leaders and exposed to unique mentorship opportunities. Our goal is to expand the dialogue in the Black community around topics of business, education, professional development, entrepreneurship, and personal growth within any field or industry.
