USS aims to connect underrepresented undergraduates exploring careers in environmental sustainability with University of Iowa faculty who are passionate about the field. All undergraduates at the University of Iowa are welcome to apply, and preference is given to students who: (1) identify with a group that is underrepresented in environmental sustainability; (2) come from economically, geographically, or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds; or (3) have demonstrated interest in environmental justice and working with underserved populations.
