Hundreds of UI faculty and staff have volunteered to serve as mentors for first-generation college students by participating in the 1stGen@Iowa Mentor Network. This network provides first-gen students with an informal, easy way to receive guidance and support as they navigate through their college experience. Students can learn more and find a mentor on the 1stGen@Iowa website.
