This semester Tippie Tech will be holding its 3rd annual CyHawk Case Competition at the Tippie College of Business!
Top analytics students from the University of Iowa and Iowa State will compete to create solutions for a complex business problem. Teams from both schools will showcase their problem-solving and analytical skills in this competition. The meeting will begin with a kick-off meeting and then teams will collaborate for a few hours. Ultimately, teams will present to a panel of judges and prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. A pizza lunch will also be provided to all attending.
The event will take place on March 5th beginning at 9 AM in room S121 PBB. Please reach out to any Exec members with questions and look to create a team with fellow members. We will be using our case competition application for the event.

USITCC and ISECON- 2019
The University of Iowa earned the top “Performing School” award for receiving the most overall USITCC conference wins. In Database Design, Nicholas Gordon and Kelly Flynn took home 2nd. Emily Larson and Cindy Chen received and honorable mention for the Microsoft Office Solutions Contest. U of I also took home 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place for Business Analytics with teams Adam Roper and Dannis Men, Emily Larson and Cindy Chen, and Yihui Wang and Jihwan Park.
U.S. Information Technology Collegiate Conference – 2018
In San Antonio, Tippie Tech team consisting of Ashley Arkfield and Emma Keefe took home the win for the Microsoft Office Solutions contest. Shagguan Wang and Yunyi Li placed 2nd in the Business Analytics contest. Rachel Burnett and Ashley Arkfield placed 3rd for Business Analytics. Shagguan Wang and Yunyi Li received and honorable mention for their work Database Design.
Association of Technology Professionals (AITP) – 2015
Tippie Tech members earned 3 third-place trophies at this national collegiate conference in Omaha. The events include Database, Business Analytics, and Visual Studio ASPNET. The teams with Tippie Tech members included Tanner Chartier and Eric Ruttenburg, Dustin Balius and Kaytlyn Sheffler, and Yusha Pan and Chenwei Yang.
