Tippie Women Summit In-Person Event

Thursday, March 23 at 5:30 pm at the Courtyard Marriott Iowa City, 901 Melrose Avenue (across from Kinnick Stadium)

This in-person event will feature a brief keynote from Beth Livingston, Tippie Associate Professor and co-author of Shared Sisterhood: How to Take Collective Action for Racial and Gender Equity at Work. Along with a Q&A between Beth and Tippie Dean Amy Kristof-Brown, this event will feature a structured networking opportunity for students and working professionals. Free of charge – bring a friend or make a new one. Food and drink provided. Students over the age of 21 should bring legal ID. Register here.

Deadline Approaching for Hawkeye Experience Grant – Apply by March 15

The Hawkeye Experience Grant awards stipends in variable amounts for undergraduate students at the University of Iowa who are involved in applied learning experiences outside of the classroom.

The Hawkeye Experience Grant Application for Summer 2023 can be found on the Iowa scholarship Portal

Students may apply for up to $4,000 to help defray the cost of a summer experience.

Deadlines for applications: 3rd Wednesday in March (March 15, 2023) and 3rd Wednesday in April (April 19, 2023) . The application review committee will inform applicants of their decision within 2-3 weeks after each deadline. If an applicant applies for the first deadline and is not awarded funds, their application will be rolled over and considered again for the second deadline.

Amount available for Summer 2023: $50,000 total in variable amounts up to $4,000 per grant
