A Message to Tippie Student Organization Presidents

Hello Tippie Presidents!

My name is Emily Ellinger and I am a third year student on Tippie Senate. I am emailing you to let you know that I will be serving as your point of contact for questions you may have for your organization’s funding from the Tippie College.

As a Tippie organization, you are encouraged to apply to receive funds from the Undergraduate Program Office (UPO). Below if a list of guidelines:

  1. Your student organization is eligible to apply for up to $500 for two separate events per period.
  2. Events that promote global and cultural competence in business, build an inclusive community for students, promote newly developed activities, facilitate career/ professional skill building, and promote sustainability will be prioritized.
  3. This funding period ends on Monday, November 15th for events occurring December 2nd – March 1st. Any applications submitted after November 15th at 5:00 PM will not be considered.

Economics Student Organization (ESA) Hosting Econ and Your Career Series on November 3rd – Read More HERE!

November 3rd: Econ and Your Career Series!

The ESA’s first “Econ and Your Career” workshop will take a look at how to explore career options that you can pursue with an economics degree, and then dive into how you actually go about seeking out these opportunities using resources like Handshake and LinkedIn. We will also review what to start considering if graduate school is in your future.

Looking for a unique leadership experience? If you are interested in developing your critical thinking and communication skills, this would be a great opportunity for you. The Judicial Board is responsible for investigating student appeals of academic misconduct and for general outreach and education about the Honor Code.

Applications are being accepted until midnight today, Monday, October 25th to fill open positions on the 2022-2023 Tippie Undergraduate Judicial Board.

Frontier Co-op Case Competition- launch event this Thursday, February 19

Net Impact and Enactus are partnering with the Frontier Co-op to host the 2021 Frontier Co-op Case Competition on March 5.

The launch event is this February 19th at 12:30 pm. During the launch event, participants will receive relevant training to compete in the competition. The goal of this event is to provide an experiential learning opportunity that all Hawkeyes, of any major, can benefit from. The case provided will teach students to work together in teams to solve a real-world sustainability business problem. On top of that, the event includes a free lunch and the finals, which will be held March 5, will give teams the chance to win up to $4,500!
