What We Do
The Business Writing Center serves the undergraduate community
in the Tippie College of Business.
Every semester, we work in conjunction with a series of
Writing-Intensive courses, including the following:
We collaborate closely with the professors
and TAs of our consulting courses, studying writing assignments,
developing pertinent handouts, giving presentations in
classes, AND seeing each student individually. Professors
interested in working with the Business Writing Center
should contact the Director, Jessica Renaud, at jessica-renaud@uiowa.edu.
We will work with business majors on any
paper, whether or not a particular professor requires
students to make appointments.
We work with both individuals and groups. Team projects
are an important aspect of business writing. Group writing
assignments require certain critical collaborative writing
and editing skills.
