Students enrolled in courses offered by the College of Business are governed by the Tippie College Honor Code. We encourage students to access the information at the Virtual Academic Integrity Laboratory, and to complete its online tutorial.
Reporting. Incidents of academic misconduct must be reported to the Senior Associate Dean, Chuck Whiteman, using this form.
Appeals. If a student wishes to appeal an incident of academic misconduct, the appeal form should be submitted to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs, Beth Ingram, within ten days of the student receiving the notification email from Associate Dean Ingram. Students are informed that they have committed academic misconduct by the instructor of the course and through an email from Associate Dean Ingram to their @uiowa.edu email addresses.
Judicial Procedures. Student appeals are handled through the Tippie Judicial Board procedures. Students should consult the sample hearing outline to become familiar with these procedures. For assistance, contact Associate Dean Ingram at 335-1038.
Tippie Judicial Board Appointments. To join the Judicial Board, submit this application to the Undergraduate Program Office, C140 PBB. Although applications are accepted through out the year, appointments are made in May based on applications received prior to April 1st.
Graduate and professional students, please contact the appropriate office for more information regarding the honor code or the judicial procedures for your academic program.
