Hometown City/State: Cedar Rapids, IA

Undergrad institution and Major: Marquette University, History and Political Science

Current City: Washington, DC

Current employment: Director, Fiscal Accountability at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). MCC is a government agency that provides large scale development grants to recipient countries that meet certain criteria established in advance. In my current role I manage financial reporting and oversight on transaction teams working with counterparts in Georgia, Armenia, Lesotho and Moldova.

Why He Chose Tippie for His MBA: Strong finance program with an interesting vision for the curriculum. Chance to return to Iowa and get a world class education.

Something unique about you, or something we can’t learn about you from your resume: I’m currently indulging in some pre-MBA travel time alone to Kyoto, Northern Thailand, Laos, Turkey, and Spain.

About Lydia Fine

Lydia joined Tippie in 2008 as Associate Director of Recruiting and Admissions, where she recruits new students to join Tippie every fall. She oversees digital communications, including email, social media and blogging, and coordinates Tippie’s calendar of recruiting events. Lydia earned her BBA in Marketing (2002) and her MBA in 2010, both from the University of Iowa. She's also venturing into the world of teaching this year, leading a course on Social Media Marketing for undergrad business students. She and her husband Nathan have a daughter, born in 2012, and two rowdy furbabies: Simon, a deranged cat, and a miniature schnauzer named Kitty.
