Hometown: Iowa City, IA

Undergrad institution and major: University of Iowa, Management Information Systems and Journalism & Mass Communication

Current Location: Iowa City, IA

Current Employment: Consulting Associate at Frank N. Magid Associates, a research-based strategic consulting firm. I work mostly with local television stations in the U.S. and Canada to develop and improve their digital media strategies, including online, social media, mobile and multiplatform integration.

Why I chose Tippie: Tippie was the only place for me. I come from a Hawkeye family and my interest in the program started before I even finished undergrad. Tippie has an excellent reputation, delivers great value and most importantly, feels like the right fit with people who are genuinely invested in your future.

Something interesting about me: I’m an award-winning sportswriter who has covered three college football bowl games, NCAA basketball tournaments and the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials. I spent a summer with MLB.com and I still freelance, mostly for the Associated Press and The Gazette. I’m also a former Editor-in-Chief and Sports Editor of The Daily Iowan.

About Stephanie Miles

I'm a Program Assistant for Tippie’s full-time MBA program. I assist with web communications, directly supervise student workers, coordinate incoming speakers, assist the Student Services Director, and work closely with the Career Academy Directors. I enjoy helping provide a robust academic, personal, and professional experience for all of our students.
