Current Employment: I have over four years of experience in the field of manufacturing operations and I presently work at Stryker Global Technology Center, a unit of Stryker Corporation, USA. As an Operations Engineer, I am responsible for manufacturing process design and planning for new products and upgrades. I am really proud to be in the healthcare sector in an organization whose products bring a positive change and alleviate the sufferings of their users. In my present role, I am taking care of improving the productivity of the manufacturing processes at the Stryker Instruments Division, Kalamazoo, Michigan, through lean manufacturing initiatives. I am also working on organization wide work standardization.
I have significant international experience and I have led cross functional teams in India, Mexico and Philippines to conceptualize and commission new manufacturing facilities for engines and axles. My areas of interest are Lean Manufacturing, Quality and Regulatory Compliance and Technology Commercialization.

Something Unique About Avishek: I am a keen foodie, a footloose traveler and an ardent fan of jazz and blues. I have motorcycled through most of the Konkan Coastline in India. When I am not munching “Lechon” in Manila or relishing “Quesadillas” in Mexico, I am busy exploring the street food scene in the narrow alleys of Old Delhi. I enjoy cooking and reading (poetry and modern history being my favorites). I am an active Quizzer and I have represented my high school and college at several National Level quiz competitions.
