MBAs braved the cold, rain, and wind for service day.

Rain, cold, and wind could not stop an enthusiastic group of full-time MBA students from participating in the spring service day on Friday April 13th. The event was sponsored by Net Impact, TLA, GFMA, and the MBAA. The group of students adopted a stretch of Highway 1 just west of Iowa City. They picked up litter along about two miles of the highway while getting wet from head-to-toe in the rain. The event was planned when the weather around Iowa City was unseasonably warm for spring. Then the Iowa weather did what is always does and changed. The group took out their raincoats and boots to push on and prevail.

At the end of the morning, twenty 55-gallon garbage bags worth of trash were removed from the roadside ditches. After two hours of work the group cleaned-up, warmed-up, and prepared for a celebratory BBQ in City Park. The group ate typical BBQ food items and played some yard games to finish off the day. It was an overall success for both the students and the greater Iowa City community.
