The Tippie School of Management celebrated Lunar New Year a few days after the main event. On the evening of Wednesday, January 25th, MBA students gathered with family, friends, and faculty in the Pappajohn Business Building to both learn more about the holiday and to share a delicious meal together. First-year MBA students Seth Goldstein, Huaxin Zhang, Kuan-Hung Ting, and Ryan Jennings delivered an excellent presentation on Lunar New Year, including an overview of what the Year of the Dragon entails. (If you were born in the Year of the Dragon, it might be a good idea to wear red this year.) Great food was eaten, good times were had, and amusing videos were enjoyed. And yes, the egg rolls were delicious.

1st year Seth Goldstein welcomes the crowd and introduces the menu.

Huaxin Zhang, 1st year student, explains that in her home country EVERYTHING gets decorated for the new year - including pets!

1st year student Ryan Jennings shared a tip: If it's your Chinese Zodiac year, wear red undergarments to ward off bad luck.

Kuan-Hung Ting, 1st year student, teaches the crowd some great phrases for the new year.
