Super Bowl Sunday was a chance for MBA students to get together and enjoy food, football, and of course, some good commercials. The Graduate Marketing Association (GMA) hosted a Super Bowl ad rating party at Kinnick Stadium where more than 80 MBA students and guests showed up to enjoy the big game on seven LCD televisions. Attendees were asked to rate each commercial they saw based on a 1-5 scale rating, 1 indicating that the commercial wasn’t memorable and didn’t do a good job of focusing on the product and a 5 rating meant the commercial was very memorable and highlighted the product well. Here are the results of the voting!
MBA Top 5 Best Commercials:
#1: Volkswagen’s “Young Darth Vader practices the Force”
#2: E*Trade’s “Baby gets a suit”
#3: Coca-Cola’s “Border guards share Coke”
#4: Bridgestone’s “Reply All”
#5: Audi’s “Old Luxury Prison”
Students also voted for which commercials they thought were the worst during Super Bowl XLV. Here are the winners – or I suppose the losers – for this year’s round of ads.
