Editor’s Note: This is the third entry in a series of profiles we’ll be posting over the summer to introduce everyone to our incoming Class of 2014. Enjoy getting to know our new students as they get to know each other, our current students, staff, and the entire Tippie community!

Brady Eilers
Hometown: Holland, MI
Undergrad: Calvin College 2009, Business Management
Current Location: Tulsa, OK by way of Charlotte, NC
Employment: Upon graduating college I joined Courageous Leadership, a management consulting firm that focuses on human capital improvement within the automotive and manufacturing sectors. I loved the work but wanted a new challenge and joined Teach for America. I have spent the last two years at Garinger High School, one of Charlotte’s lowest performing schools, teaching math to students from age 13-20. Currently I am living in Tulsa, OK training 65 new incoming corps members.
Why I chose Tippie:
- I am very interested in innovation and the skills needed to innovate within large organizations. Tippie’s SMI academy does a great job delineating between lean processes and innovation for new business development. I know that I will learn a unique set of specialized skills from the academy.
- The price and ROI of the program is outrageous (in a good way).
- I have been going to Iowa football games since I was about 4 and Kinnick Stadium on a beautiful fall Saturday is my heaven.
Interesting fact about me: I have been to more than 16 countries on 5 different continents. I completed a 70.3 Ironman. I spent 4 weeks as a “carnie” that set up bounce houses in the deep (I’m talking real deep) south. It was terrible.

You don’t see the word “carnie” in too many posts by the Tippie School of Management. Welcome aboard, Brady!
