Farmland Boom and Bust?

Interesting article in The Economist about a farmland bubble, and the debt that farmers have put on balance sheets. What is interesting to me is a question not asked in this article  – how much farmland is owned by farmers, and how much has been gobbled up by 3rd party investors? So is it the farmer that will get hit this time, or the investors?

That would make this much different than the 70’s and 80’s.
