Pancake Breakfast, Parkview Church
In its 20th year, the Crisis Center’s Pancake Breakfast continues to be a true link to the community and looked forward to each year by everyone. The proceeds from this great event enable the Crisis Center to provide vital services to any Johnson County resident in need
What we did: Our volunteers helped set up the event as well as help in the food preparation.

What it was. The proceeds of the race will help support Uptown Bill's Small Mall of Iowa City. Uptown Bill's is a collection of businesses owned and operated by people with disabilities and staffed by volunteers.
What we did: We will compete in the team event. Teams our made of 5 runners with the 4 fastest times will be used to determine the winner.

Celebrating Cultural Diversity Festival, University Field house
Since 1990, the Celebrating Cultural Diversity Festival (CCDF) has given members of The University of Iowa and its surrounding communities an opportunity to learn about each other through food, games, dance, music, literature, storytelling, arts, and crafts. Annual attendance is between 3,000 and 5,000 people, making CCDF the second largest non-athletic event sponsored by The University of Iowa. The festival consistently and successfully creates meaningful cross-cultural interactions and deeper appreciation and understanding.
What we did: Our volunteers helped in the running of the event. We worked tables that taught children facts about different parts of the world.

Dance Marathon, Iowa Memorial Union
The University of Iowa Dance Marathon creates and sustains special projects to provide emotional and financial support and services for pediatric oncology and bone marrow transplant patients and their families treated at University of Iowa Children's Hospital at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
What we did: Our volunteers helped with the running of the event volunteering in such tasks as security, clean up, runners, and general maintenance.

Longfellow Carnival, Longfellow Elementary School
The event is sponsored by the PTA and all funds raised that night are for the students in the school. They ask that if students volunteer, that they show up at the allotted time or find a replacement if they cannot make it. It takes almost 200 volunteers to make the carnival a success at Longfellow and they count on each and every one to be there.

Dance Marathon - Various Positions
($15 donation mandatory, free T-shirt, application form needed)
Positions:
- X-Factor (Security): Responsible for helping dancers get around, answering questions, and ensuring safety of participants.
- Merchandise Table: Responsible for selling Dance Marathon merchandise and items throughout the event.
- Visitor Check-in Table: Sit at the visitor check-in table during the event to facilitate visitors.
- Set-up and Teardown Crew: Prepare stage, setup tables, and decorate; Take down tables, equipment, and decorations.
- Physical Plant: Help with maintenance during the event by replenishing water supply, emptying garbage, and general clean up. During meals, monitor eating areas, cleaning up tables, etc.
- Bag Check Table: Facilitate access to the dancers' belongings throughout the event.
- General Check-in Table: Assist volunteers throughout the event by escorting them to their volunteer locations.
- Snack Shack: Oversee snack shack and keep it fully stocked with food.
- Drivers: Drive Dance Marathon families in vans to and from IMU and hotels. Must be certified to drive a cargo van.
- Coat Check: Check coats of visitors and volunteers during the even
