The wireless network in the Pappajohn Building and the Pomerantz Center are mananged by the University's central IT group. This is the same wireless service that is provided in most buildings across campus. If you would like more information and directions on how to setup your computer to use the wireless network in these buildings please go to http://helpdesk.its.uiowa.edu/wireless/ . For students at our off-campus sites at the Kahl Center in Davenport, the Towne Center facility in Cedar Rapids and the Krause Center in Des Moines you should note the following information. The wireless networks in these remote sites are maintained by the Stead Technology Services Group in the Tippie College of Business. These wireless networks are open and can be accessed by searching for the "TippieSom" SSID. Most wireless network client software will allow a user to search for available wireless networks, (WLAN). Once you detect the following network you may connect to it without entering any ID or password. In many cases your computer will automatically connect to these wireless networks when they are detected.
