January 2007: Hong Kong

The Henry B. Tippie School of Management will offer the International Program Option (IPO) for MBA-PM students in Winter 2007. The two-week study program in Hong Kong will be held January 3-15.

MBA-PM students will join the University of Iowa Hong Kong Executive MBA students and the Full-time MBA students in a choice of 2 elective courses. Students will have the option of 6J:235 Maximizing Team Performance taught by Gale Mote or 6J:246 International Management taught by Frank Ryzewski.

Jumbo, Hong KongThe International Program Option is designed to expand your understanding of the global economy through coursework and dialogue with fellow students, alumni, and other successful global managers. The IPO will also feature daytrips and excursions to local companies and sites.

The expectation and workload for the elective courses is similar to other MBA courses. As such, we discourage participants from attempting to fulfill regular job responsibilities while in Hong Kong.

The program fee is $2883. This includes airfare with United Airlines, double-room occupancy at the MetroPark Hotel, 2 nights hotel at White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou select meals, a visa to China, and other miscellaneous items. This does not include tuition for the three-credit course ($1386).
