Career Advising Appointment Scheduling

You are important to the MBA Career Services team! As such, we are committed to addressing your career services needs.

Prior to reaching your last two semesters before graduation, career services that are available to you are LIMITED TO workshops delivered to your sites throughout the year, access to CareerLeader (a self-assessment tool), and Career Services Online support materials on MBA-PM Icon site (found under 'Student Services' heading). Please check the MBA-PM calendar for the workshop schedule.

Once you enter the last two semesters of your program, you may participate in individual advising sessions. These are scheduled at the various sites during the year as listed below. These sessions are limited and fill up VERY quickly! If you are interested in reserving a time to go over your personal career plans, please complete the registration below.  Typical topics we might cover during this session include: resume writing, interviewing tips, salary negotiations, etc. Sometimes it is easier if I can look at your documents before our meeting, so feel free to e-mail these to me at michel-pontarelli@uiowa.edu and let me know when our appointment is scheduled. 

If you are within the last two semesters of your program, you may also have access to the following:

  • CareerLeader, an online self-assessment tool
  • Symplicity, our resume/job posting database
  • CareerShift, the portal to most web job postings
  • MBA Focus and Going Global, two other web-based job posting sites

Just let me know what you are interested in and I will make the necessary arrangements ahead of time. Then, when we meet, we can review how to maximize your efforts.
