Italy Earthquake – v. 2.0

As the national news media has been reporting today, northern Italy experienced another earthquake earlier this morning. A magnitude 5.8 quake was centered near Modena, Italy, which is approximately 150km (about 90 miles) from the CIMBA campus in Paderno del Grappa.  This was the second earthquake centered in that area during the last two weeks – a magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred 9 days ago. Although many of the students and faculty on upper floors of the campus buildings reported that they felt the quake this morning, everyone is fine and doing well. We are grateful that the event was not centered closer to where we are staying.
