Sydney Internship Program

The University of Iowa's Tippie College of Business presents the Spring Internship Program in Sydney, Australia. The Tippie College of Business has partnered with the Centers for Academic Programs Abroad (CAPA) to create and coordinate a unique opportunity for undergraduate students who want to gain professional work experience.

Participants in the Sydney Internship Program will complete a six-credit internship, while taking two three-credit courses: International Business Course and Australian Culture Course. Both academic courses may be applied towards the International Business Certificate, elective hours, or, in some instances, general education course requirements. The internship credits will count as elective hours. Students will also receive on-site academic advice and mentoring to help them process their study and work experiences.

This program is not your typical study abroad program. It is a program for mature students seeking international work experience. The students' greatest integration into Australian society will not take place with fellow students in the classroom, but with adults in the workplace.
