- Chinese Citizens: Mainland Chinese citizens require special documentation to enter Hong Kong.
Since the group will visit Mainland China mid-program, documentation has to be arranged for two entries into Hong Kong
.
- Note: The student is responsible for any and all cost associated with arranging the documentation to enter Hong Kong.
People's Republic of China (Mainland) Visa*:
- A group visa will be arranged for all program participants to enter Mainland China.
- Some non-US nationalities may not be allowed to be part of a group visa.
- Students will be informed if they have to arrange an individual visa.
- Any individual visas will be arranged and paid for by the student.
*
If your passport expires by July, 2009: A Chinese visa may not be granted to an individual whose passport will be expiring within 6 months of a scheduled visit to China . You will be required to renew your passport in advance of program and given current processing delays you should do this immediately.
Post-Program Travel to China:
Students arranging post program travel to Mainland China will need to make seperate arrangement for a visa. The group visa just covers the one-time entry with the group. Due to past problems with visas, students are encouraged to wait unitl after the group returns from the Mainland to arrange an individual visa to China. The tour manager can help students arrange a visa in HK if necessary. |
