Course & Professional Visits

Course: 6J:246 International Management (3 s.h.) - For MBA-PM students this course can be used as an elective or substitute for the new core course 6N:223

Format: The course will be offered using a combination of online and in-class formats. This means there will be course responsibilities both before and after the trip.

Expected Class Room Sessions: (dates may change for the class sessions in HK):

• December 12, 2008 (Iowa City): On-campus pre-departure class meeting (Time & Location to be announced.
• January 9, 2009 (HK): All-day class (Time & Location TBA)
• January 10, 2009 (HK): All-day class (Time & Location TBA)
• January 31, 2009 (Iowa City): Final on-campus class (Time & Location TBA)

Professional Visits & Speaker:

Details for the visits are still being finalized, but visits to a variety of factories and companies in Guangdong Province will be provided. Several speakers will also be arranged for the group. Also, as part of your class assignment there will be a "Your Day, Your Way" assignment which will have students working in small groups to arrange their professional visit in Hong Kong
