Business and International Education (BIE) Grant

On July 1, 2005, funding for IIB's new Department of Education's Business and International Education (BIE) Grant began. The title of the grant is "Global Achievement Projects (GAPs): Filling in the GAPs in International Business Education at the University of Iowa."

The Co-Project Directors for this grant are Terry Boles and Ann Knudson, the IIB's Director and Assistant Director respectively. To promote and develop understanding of grant's projects, the IIB has established an IIB BIE Grant website. In addition to providing an overview of the grant, this site will include the GAPs Web Log, which will consist of regular updates regarding grant project efforts. The goal of the web log is two-fold: (1) to provide a faithful chronology of the development and implementation of grant projects; and (2) to provide both external and internal grant evaluators the information necessary to: (a) follow the grant management of the Project Directors; (b) assess the value of projects and programs implemented through the grant; and (c) provide essential feedback to ensure the overall success of the grant.
