mission of the Hawkinson Institute is to facilitate career opportunities in

financial services industries for our students. The Institute is a
major link between the faculty, alumni, and students of

- Placement of top undergraduates in the financial services industry,
particularly investment banking, through the Hawkinson Scholars Program.
- Work with top recruiters, who do not typically recruit at Iowa, to give them access to outstanding students.
- Support finance research through fellowships to faculty within the Tippie
Finance Department.
- Provision of an MBA scholarship each year to a superior MBA applicant.
- Teaching of an Investment Banking course by faculty with practical investment
banking experience.
