Student Life at Tippie - A Transformational Experience

At Tippie, we believe that a balanced student life including academics, professional development, and extracurricular activities contributes to becoming a great leader. Here, you do not spend all your time in the classroom – you also participate in professional development workshops and take on leadership roles in activities that are important to you. You are encouraged to innovate, to develop, to create organizations and to propose ideas that will enhance your experience and that of your classmates and future students. For example, Jafar Azmayesh (MBA 2005) contacted the noted investor Warren Buffett and arranged a visit to Berkshire Hathaway for Tippie MBAs and undergraduate business majors – including a discussion and lunch with Mr. Buffett. Other Tippie students have initiated case competitions, started new student organizations, and presented MBA forums on topics of interest.
