Engineering
Quality Champion. Managerial
staff position reporting to the Director of Engineering responsible for Quality
throughout Engineering.

Manager 6091
Subsystem Development. Responsible
for development of a family of peripherals -- disk, tape, optical. This included supplier interface, hardware
design, driver development, system's integration. Managed twenty-one people. The 6091 family is forecasted to be the
highest revenue producer for the plant in 1991.
May 1988 to September 1989 at NCR Peripheral Products
Division -
Manager VLSI CAE/CAD. Computer systems/Networking
support, Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits (VLSI) layout and test, and
CAE/CAD development. Included management of maintenance contracts and equipment budget. Responsible for $2.5 million budget and
managed thirteen people.
June 1987 to May 1988 at NCR Peripheral Products Division -
Assistant to the Director of
Engineering (DOE) .
Management training position. Assisted DOE with reports, minutes, primary interface
to Corporate R&D, coordinated monthly Engineering Status meetings (280
people in Engineering), Engineering representative on
several General Manager task forces.
May 1985 to May 1987 at NCR Peripheral Products Division -
Programmer/Project
Leader CAE Development. Developed and
maintained tools in Fortran and C programming
languages used for VLSI development.
Primary responsibility was Interconnect Analysis which created files
from the physical layout to be used by other tools in determining Real and Estimated delays.
Major feature added was Resistance/Capacitance consideration to timing.
October 1983 to April 1985 at NCR Peripheral Products
Division -
Programmer on
VOICENTER. Helped develop a voice
message handling application in C, VOICENTER and 8080 assembler languages. Responsible for nineteen commands which
included the variable and mailbox manager; selection, phone, and file support
modules; and demo program development.
July 1981 to September 1983 at NCR Peripheral Products
Division -
Programmer on
Terminal Control Operating System (TCOS). Assembly level programming
for an 8-Bit processor. Developed utilities for the External Memory Management System
(EMS), Job Control Language (JCL) commands, and System Generation commands. Received training on TCOS emphasizing the
Scheduler, Interrupt Handling mechanisms.
