Residency Weeks

Your EMBA experience kicks off with a five-day residency on The University of Iowa campus. You'll get to know your classmates, meet your study group members, and be introduced to the administration and some of the faculty. Instructional events include "CPA in a Day," our overview of the basic accounting necessary to be successful in initial classes, and a brief business simulation that will introduce some business concepts and help your study group gel as a team. The week concludes with your first full day of classes.

During this time we'll also take care of some of the mundane chores like getting your picture taken, issuing your official University of Iowa identification card, and making sure your immunizations are up-to-date.

The second-year residency week is an intense business simulation that draws on all your previous class work and prepares you for the more in-depth studies of the second year. In both years you'll also participate in team activities, dine with business leaders, and build your presentation skills.
