Tippie College of Business School of Management Executive MBA Program Overview

The Tippie MBA Experience

Your hard work has paid off for you and your company. You're already an excellent manager, but now it's time for a new challenge. You want to become an exceptional leader and develop and implement strategies to advance your company.

One of the best ways to pursue leadership goals is through a quality MBA program. Each of the Tippie Executive MBA program options is designed to meet the needs of today's busy professional. These full-service programs recognize and support the values and priorities of executives with demanding family and work lives. As a Tippie EMBA student you will never need to use your valuable time for mundane tasks of registering for classes, looking for parking spaces, or finding the right texts. We take care of the details for you so you can meet the demands of the program as easily as possible while still taking care of family and professional obligations.

The Tippie School of Management offers two Executive MBA programs. Each is a lock-step, concentrated program. Students enter as a class and work together throughout the program, which ranges from 21-26 months. Full-day classes are held on alternating Fridays and Saturdays and students participate in a one-week international experience.

The 26-month Executive Engineer Dual Master's Degree Program (at our Cedar Rapids Center) for engineering managers is offered in cooperation with Iowa State University. Participants in this program earn both an MBA from The University of Iowa and a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Iowa State.
