Admission

The University of Iowa Executive MBA Program seeks professionals with proven leadership ability or potential who are ready for a new challenge. Each class includes representatives from a wide range of business backgrounds. Not only will you learn from the coursework in the program, you'll gain valuable insight into other areas of business by working closely with your classmates.

Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the year although admission is available for one term only each year. The next Executve MBA will begin in August 2007. Here's what is needed to complete your application:

• Completed Application Form
• Letter of Sponsorship - Your company must provide a statement signed by an appropriate authorizing agent, affirming its understanding and approval of your participation in the EMBA program (View a sample letter)
• Official transcripts from each college or university attended
• GMAT Scores (Be sure to visit the GMAT website)
• Our successful applicants have most of these qualifications:
  • Six to 10 years or more post baccalaureate work experience
  • Five plus years in a management or leadership position
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Satisfactory GMAT score
  • Satisfactory GPA
  • Some senior management experience
  • History of proven team skills

Interviews

You'll be invited to an interview with the program director after applying. The interview is an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about the program in person. EMBA applicants will also be able to visit the state-of-the-art Pomerantz Center where EMBA classes are held.
