We are also using some readings from a second book. This book is from an open
source book publisher called FlatWorldKnowledge. The book is available for free
if you read it online.There will be serveral reading assignments from this book.
I thinik you will find it very interesting. If you want a printed version
of the book, you will have to pay $29.95. I would recommend that you use it
online. There are two ways for you to find this book online.

http://www.flatworldknowledge.com and click on the "Find My Class" indicator
located under the "student" navigation tab. From here a student can search for
their class.
Software
Needed:
(The computer labs in Iowa City, Des Moines, and Cedar Rapids have all the software
required for this course.)
UI Anywhere -- Web VPN:
The Web VPN allows you to securely connect to University of Iowa
resources through a web browser. This will allow you to upload material to your
Instruct group site. See the UI Anywhere Support Site for more
information.

HTML Editor: You may use any editor you choose,
such as Expressoins, Dreamweaver, FrontPage, Visual Web Developer 2008
Express, Visual Web Developer 2010 Express or Notepad for that matter.
All of these editors are available in the Pappajohn Computer Lab.
