Flavio Lazzaretto

Place of Origin: Padova, Italy

Undergraduate Institution: Università degli Studi di Padova

Major: Computer Science Engineering, specialization in Management of Telecommunication

Current City: Asolo :)

About You: I am an A person!!! no hopefully not :) I was born and grew in Padova, I have been living here all the time except one year spent in Barcelona, where I worked on my thesis. I am extrovert, I love to know new people, discover new cultures and places.

I am a snowboarder, I love travelling, cooking and dancing. Last but not least, I enjoy so much traveling around Italy and Europe with my motorbike.

Job/Experience Previous to CIMBA MBA: I worked as Software developer for almost 2 years in a small ERP software house, then I was hired for a bigger company that was the leader in the Italian market for business information. I decided to quit my job as a system engineer and special customer assistant after 3 years to start the CIMBA adventure. Since I was 18 years old, I have worked for almost 10 years in many local clubs as promoter and event manager. Finally, after my study abroad experience, I joined the Erasmus Student Network as volunteer, where I am still involved in organizing events and cultural trips for the Erasmus students living in Padova.

During our Fall break I organized a day trip to Castelfranco, Asolo and Maser. Among the marvellous Rocca, VIlla Barbaro and others, I have showed to the Erasmus students also our beloved campus in Asolo :)

Reason for choosing the CIMBA MBA: Last summer I was in a period of change. I was not satisfied with my job, I was looking for an opportunity to work and live in an International environment. I had already been considering getting my MBA for a year in order to expand my opportunities. So when I discovered CIMBA, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to join the perfect program, especially for my personal growth.

The CIMBA Experience So Far: Until now, the CIMBA experience is completely worth all I have sacrificed, even though it is stressing and difficult sometimes. I really appreciate all the classes I have attended so far. The individual growth is taken very seriously in CIMBA, and that is what I was looking for. Right now I am missing a bit of practice, but I am sure it will be provided by the consulting projects we are going to start in January. So I am excited to start after the break.

Goals: Many. I have started the MBA with the idea to find a better job. Time and time again I have realized that I also need to work on my individual strengths and improve my leadership skills. I want to keep as much as I can from this program: knowledge, behaviors, contacts, people experiences. It is a unique occasion in my life to figure out what I really want for my job and future life.
