Yet another shorten week here at CIMBA. Tomorrow will be the last day of classes until we part for our last travel break for an extended weekend. What a busy week it will be until then. Seems like everyone has tests, quizzes, and papers galore before we get to go travel one last time. I’ve got a busy schedule myself, along with trying to finalize travel plans, flights, and such. It’ll be extremely weird when I’m home and I’m not running to catch a train or a flight somewhere every weekend. Another thing I was thinking about that will be weird to go home to is texting on a touch screen- I feel like I’m going to have to relearn all over again!
It’s getting colder here by the day it seems like, but definitely not as cold as it will be when I return back to Chicago or Iowa. I heard Iowa got snow a couple days ago… good thing the sun is still out every day here in Paderno and we still get to appreciate a little bit of warmth until the sun sets. I definitely lost my umbrella so I’m praying that there will be no more rain until I find that thing somewhere around my room. Funny how I’ve gotten used to living in the dorms again, I never thought I’d have to do that again after freshman year. Although, the private bathrooms and personal maid service make it a completely different story. My towel rack in my bathroom is even heated, I don’t even get that at home…
Tonight the cafeteria will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner for us Americans that are missing out on Thursday. Thanksgiving Italian style should be pretty interesting, I’m not really too sure what to expect. Although, they have been making sample “pumpkin bread” that supposed to be their version of pumpkin pie for us to try these past couple of weeks, so to say the least, there’s been lots of preparation. With Phi Beta Delta, we are trying to see if we can use one of the professor’s kitchen in their apartments right down the street to maybe make some pies. PBD is also selling PB&J and peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches today in the office, nothing like a good American snack, I’m going to go get one myself right now.
Ciao!
