Adventuring to Dublin and London

After classes today I’ll be heading to the Bassano train station to catch a train to Milan. We fly out of Milan tomorrow morning to Dublin, Ireland. I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about Dublin and I’m really excited to go, it’ll also be really nice to be traveling in a country that speaks english. We’re flying RyanAir, which I’ve never flown before, but in order to avoid checking your bag I basically have to pack the littlest amount ever. Which is always a struggle for me, I don’t know why, but I always try to cram my entire closet into a bag when I travel. Some friends from CIMBA recommended the hostel that we chose to stay at in Dublin. Apparently they have a BBQ every Thursday and have Wii to play in the common room, pretty different from the other hostels that I’ve been staying at. The only trouble, as always, is trying to find the hostel- its never an easy task.

After we spend Thursday and Friday in Dublin, Saturday morning we will be heading to London for the night. We don’t leave London until late afternoon on Sunday so we’ll get two full days of exploring the city. I’ve been to London before, it is one of my favorite places I’ve been so far so I’m really looking to go back. Last time I was there I saw the musical, Chicago, this time around we’re considering seeing Wicked. I know for a fact that there’s Starbucks in London to relieve me from my withdrawals I’ve been having. During the two days in London we’ll just be walking around and seeing as much as we can see. The only unfortunate part about going to London is the whole pound currency system they have. The exchange rate to the US dollar right now is 1.56, yikes! But last time I checked before today it was up to 1.68 so we lucked out that it went down.

Leaving Paderno one last time to travel before I go home next weekend. I’m looking forward to seeing more new places! I get home Sunday night, right in time to start getting ready for the last week and finals. Where has the time gone?
