So this will be the 4th weekend in a row that I will be packing up, heading out of Paderno, and living out of my nifty little backpack. Which is fine with me, traveling around Europe with new friends has never had a dull moment yet.
Tomorrow CIMBA is going to Trieste, Italy- it’s a town right by the boarder of Italy and Slovenia. We’ll be sightseeing, museum hopping, and hopefully eating some really good food. Although that’s the last thing I need more of- food, the unlimited supply of dinner rolls is really starting to become a problem. There’s supposed to be a lot to see in Trieste tomorrow, and it’ll be nice since it’s set up by CIMBA so we’ll be doing the whole touristy thing and what not. Taking in a little bit more of the Italian culture, it should be a good time.
After Trieste, a group of us are jumping on a bus to Lubiana, Slovenia. It’s supposed to have great night life, lots to do during the day, and a variety of food selections- mexican, chinese, sushi, horse burgers (no thank you), and more. We’ll be there until Sunday morning and then we’ll make our journey back to Paderno, start another week of classes, and then next week I will be in Florence. Then the week after that I’ll be in Milan, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Verona. Lots of traveling to look forward too… lots of money to be spent… oh boy.
Tuesday I went to Asolo with one of my professors and a group of 14 other students and learned how to make pizza. CIMBA has these events called “Date with a Professor” and you sign up and do whatever activity that professor has planned. Not only did I learn how to make my own pizza, but I also ate the entire pizza as well. Yeah, I’m a champ. Let me tell you, this pizza was amazing and the owner of this pizzeria really knows how to make a good pizza. We rolled out our own dough, loaded it up with sauce, I chose about 3 different cheeses, pepperoni, basil- all which were nice and fresh. I’d do it every night if I could, it was simply delicious.
Time to pack and get ready to leave tomorrow. Have a great weekend, I know I’ll be enjoying mine
Sunday I’ll write about how everything was, hopefully I have a couple good stories to share!
