Type:
Online

Topic:
Supply Chain Management, Inventory and Production

Summary:
eBeer is an online variation on the classic "Beer Game" developed at MIT. Students experience the bullwhip effect by playing different positions in a supply chain. One game of 40 rounds typically takes less than half an hour. After the game is completed, students and faculty can review plots of inventory and orders.

eBeer also has advanced features beyond the classic Beer Game. The instructor can create variations on the game by changing order and shipping delays, as well as the information available to the students in the supply chain. Over 90 minutes, students can play a few scenarios with different demand patterns and different supply chain parameters to better understand the effect of delays and information on supply chain dynamics.

I agree. Quick, easy and simple but ideal? I do think it is cuuiors that Food Insurance doesn't put more on their site as to what these kits include, don't you? They aren't particularly upfront about the contents of their kits. When I discovered what was in them, I realized that I could order these type meals myself and assemble my own kit tailored after my own tastes and preferences. This kit is for the lazy person indeed. Similar to production survival kits vs. making your own.
