Notes from Lon Moeller, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs

A Great Chance to Meet Future Tippie Students

We held a Preview Day yesterday (Saturday, March 2nd) for over 150 high school students and their parents.  The purpose of Preview Day is to introduce students to the Tippie College of Business.  The students heard from UPO Assistant Director Rachael Thompson, Senior Admissions Director Sheila Schechinger (a Tippie graduate), Tippie faculty members Kevin Den Adel, Brian Richman, Maria Kraimer, Nick Street, Rob Rouwenhurst, and John Solow, Career Services Director Allan Boettger, and UPO Assistant Director Melissa Baker.  We also heard from two student panels.  The day ended with building tours of the Pappajohn Business Building led by our Business Student Ambassadors.  Many of the speakers told of “success stories” from current Tippie students and alums.  It was wonderful to hear about Tippie students like Laura Blunk, Laura Cyreck, Garrett Dunn, Audra Brinlee, Chase Lehrman, Nils Thorson, Heather Swanson and Nate Kibby.  It was also to good to hear about Tippie alums like Laura Nass, Laura Westercamp, Tom Niblock, Chuck Mersch, Zach Bromert, Roberto Paniagua, Michelle Hillenbrand, Lucy Krol, Matt Johnson, Liz Davidson and Sam Page.
